Welcome to Girls on the Run of Northeast Tennessee – a life-changing, non-profit prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running.
Girls on the Run combines training for a 5K with healthy living education. The 12-week training program is delivered by volunteer coaches and teaches very specific social and personal skills. The program culminates in non-competitive 5K event which gives the girls a chance to shine, as well as an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.The unique and innovative curriculum combines physical training with uplifting lessons that encourage positive emotional, social, and mental development.
Girls on the Run of Northeast Tennessee is an Affiliate Independent Council of Girls on the Run International which has a network of over 140 councils across the United States and Canada.

A Girls on the Run Journey
